Petit suche Fine Dessert ,located at the sweet corner in ISetan KLCC,a place where you can find variety of dessert but what caught my eyes is those colorful macarons.I have been craving for macarons because i have not been eating it for ages.Let's get into the topic,i bought 10 macarons .They are raspberry,chocolates,jasmine,green tea(macha),blueberry,coffee machiato,hazelnut praline,pistache,fruits and passion and lastly mandarine orange corresponding to coming chinese new year^^.

From top to bottom left -Coffee machiato(3,richness of coffee inside your mouth) Jasmine(4,nice and sweet aroma of jasmine) Hazelnut Praline(2,cant really taste the flavor) Pistache(2,is this how pistache should taste like?I personally prefer the one from French Kisses Patisserie) From top to bottom right-Fruit and passion(3,taste of passion fruit which is quite unique) Green tea(2,normal) mandarine orange(3,quite special for a french dessert with chinese new year theme,feel abit "chinessy") chocolate(4,full flavor of different types of chocolates) blueberry(4,the sweetness of blueberry dancing on your palate)You might ask where is the raspberry,lol it has been eaten by my dad before I can get it to be reviewed.I will rate it from 1 to 5.

My family feel bored to Bentong restaurant so we went to Gohtong Jaya because my dad got a big fish from his friend. The restaurant is at the corner side and very easy to find. The following photo is the starter. Free tasting from Mr Sotong.

奶油虾。The prawn are fresh and fragrant. The chef cooked the prawn with eggs and also raw milk. I am not sure whether the chef cooked with butter or not but it is really fragrant.
清蒸白鲳 The fish is really big and it costs more than hundred ringgit. The meat is so smooth. The sauce of the steamed fish is normal.

炒茄子 Wow I like this. The brinjaul are bit crispy outside and soft inside.

星光豆腐 The sauce goes well with rice. Tauhu is quite normal and can be found in a lot of restaurant.

爆花肉 My family always order this because it is crunchy and delicious..heehee.

油浸田七菜 we seldom eat this kind of vege in this method. I am surprise it is actually quite nice and it helps in prevent constipation LOL

Overall those dishes are okay. The price is RM92 something but maybe the boss knows my dad so I am not sure whether she discounted for us or what. Worth a try in this restaurant after your genting trip or you passby Gohtong Jaya ^_^

Chili's Grill & Bar @ 1 Utama (revisit)

Ya, revisit to Chilis again, my favourite restaurant. This time Tze Choong and I met a very friendly staff who is not a Malaysian. He smiled and concerned in our needs. Both of us ordered 2 dishes that is Mushroom Combo Fajitas at around RM38 excluding tax and also the starter Triple Play at RM24.95.

The starter triple play came with southwestern eggrolls, wings over buffalo, and chicken crispers with 3 type of dipping sauces. Personally I like the chicken crispers. The eggrolls were not bad. Ohya, add some spices that is available on your table make the food more fragrant. Do try it! The wings over buffalo are sour in taste because of vinegar they added if I am not mistaken. Well, I am abit surprise that the wings are sour and abit cannot accept the super sour taste of the wings but later I realise that they are actually good appetizer.

Then came the mushroom combo fajitas ( Chicken + beef) with thick and viscous cheese. My first time trying this. See? plentiful of mushroom covering the meats. Wrap the fajitas with the ingredients they provided.

Skin that used to wrap the fajitas. You can ask for more for this because the waiter told us it is FREE~~~

We did not order any drinks and they served us cold plain water. Overall, the service is good, food are good, definitely will come back again and try for other dishes ^_^

I am officially a third year dental students! Omg...unbelievable! I passed all the 14 subjects in second year which including oral anatomy, oral biochemistry, conservative dentistry, prosthetics, dental biomaterials, periodontology, pathology, oral microbiology, general microbiology, pharmacology, social and behaviors, communication skills, dental therapeutics and OSCA ! Looks like I am dreaming and I still cant believe that I did it. Holidays ~~HOoray, I am going to enjoy it and more food blogs will be uploaded ! Yeah~

Restoran Ban Lee ( Bak Kut Teh), KL

I finished all my theory papers so far. Still have a practical paper to go next week to finish my exams. So I just make a simple post. When I went home last time, after my dad fetched me in Pudu, we went to the restoran Ban Lee to try bak kut teh near pudu. I saw their board that writing 不垮第一，乃属一流, so I just have a try to see how good their bak kut teh is. Taste not bad just that the soup is light, not so much herbs they use? make it more acceptable for the eldest? but I prefer thicker soup based.

Tung Jing Dim Sum restaurant @ Taman Midah, KL

Went to TungJing dum sum restaurant with parents before back to Kedah. Mum told me that dimsum there is better than those fridged-serving dimsum ( means end products dimsum from factory) haha...they are homemade. Variety of dimsum there and it opens until 4pm noon. It is located at Taman Midah. The restaurant is opposite the McD and XiaoEn（孝恩） in Cheras.

I guess the owner is a Christian because there is a corner sharing all the christianity books.

Here are some dimsum I had with family. Xiu Mai definitely are my favourite. Most of the dimsum are average la.

Beef meatball is nice. Shud order when you are here.
Fried carrot cake very nice! So fragrant!

Wu Kok. Erm, my favourite too. But the filling here is mushroom sauce. I prefer the filling of cha siew pau fill in the Wu Kok. Will be nicer. However, the skin is so so so crispy.

Chai Kueh in Hokkien? I dunno Hokkien and I am learning. LOL A must order!!! Tomyam Mee with dumpling! The tomyam so match with the mee. I saw a couple there only have their tomyam mee as breakfast then leave. Those dumpling are smooth and meaty too! This kind of tomyam soup is my 1st try! Good Job.

Mango Pudding.

The total bill us about RM47 sth. reasonable?

Chinese Glutinous Rice Dumpling/ Ham Yok Zhong/ Bak Chang

To welcome the Chinese Dumpling Festival ( Duan Wu Festival) 端午节, I just post up the Chinese Dumpling I had this year. Actually every year I also ate the dumpling that made by my mum, LOL. The dumplings consist of fat pork, mung beans, chinese mushroom, etc. This year mum did not use many ingredients. It was simple yet delicious. I went home few days ago and have the chance to try the dumpling.

Personally, I think fat porks play an important role in making the dumpling more delicious. The soft fat porks melted with the glutinous rice in the mouth and it makes the dumpling fragrant!! Sry photos is not nicely present as I cant wait to have my dumpling that time so the fork still beside it. Paise... Lastly Happy Duan Wu Festival! 端午节快乐！

LeBoss Restaurant @ Sungai Petani

This restaurant was reviewed by J2Km and Makan King and Queen before. It is located in Lagenda Height and is running by Malay. They sell western food and the portion is big. For Sungai Petani area, this restaurant won the heart of students as the price is affordable and big portion. Food are normal but can say better than other western restaurant in SP.
My friends and I also ordered grill chicken chop for RM14.90. You can choose your 2 side dishes in the menu. Our side dishes are potato wedges and spaghetti. we chose black pepper as our sauce. Actually there are alot of sauces for the chop just that accidentally my friend chose the same flavour with me. Very full after eating that.

Serene ordered this. Sandwich chicken. Not good...it was bitter in taste because of the vegetables inside. RM7-8 I think.

Bolognase chicken spaghetti. Same as homemade one. I think I can cook this too...came with a bowl of salad. Sorry I forgot the price. But is above RM10 and below RM14.

Lastly, teh-tarik almond. Sound fresh? Ya the taste not bad also...worth a try!

开心小食店 @ Bentong

开心小食店(Happy restaurant) is located beside MeiHiong restaurant. It is near to Khai Mun Pagi Primary School. It opens at nite and you will be surprise that they do not serve rice. You can only order Mee here.
The first dish is 星洲米, when you come here, you have to order this as it is so tasty because it fried till fragrant, enough what we call "wok hei" in cantonese. They fried this with chinese sausages, eggs, beansprouts and also meats. Simple yet delicious.
This is the 姜葱田鸡. The frog meats are so tasty and fresh. With the ginger, it eliminates those unwanted taste of the frog meats. Frog meats is easier to chew compare to chicken and it is smooth!

宫葆猪肠仔。This is the special dish here and actually I first time try those pig intestine here. It was tender and refreshing. Do not worry, you wont taste the piggy smell in this dish.

Went to Autumn Cafe with roomates. Autumn cafe is located just beside ah Nan frog porridge restaurant. This place is near Village mall, same row with Old Town. They are offering set lunch and set dinner range from RM13.90-20+++ . chicken chop and fish chop set is below RM20.

Ya, PS can be found here. Play cards and games so you can enjoy fully here after your meal.

All of us ordered set meal. The set including a drink, soup, main course and a scoop of Haagen daz ice-cream as dessert. Mushroom soup is not creamy enough. The photos after the soup is set D if not mistaken. Chicken chop served with french fries, salad and potatoes salad. The first photo showing black pepper sauce and second served with mushroom sauce.

The chicken chop is nothing to shout about. Normal.

Here comes the set A. fried chicken with cheese and ham as filling. Served with tartar sauce.This is the best set to order I think. It also comes with spaghetti. RM14.90 if not mistaken?

My order, set C. The fish chop is too fishy I do not like it personally. also served with tartar sauce.

Lastly, the most satisfying food -ICE-CREAM from haagen daz. You can choose the favour you want. From my view, the sets is cheap together with ice-cream, soup and drinks. But you can notice all of them are fried food and it is a bit heaty oily. Easy to feel satiety.
We also ordered extra food exclude from the set. Potato wedges. Definitely oily again. We regret to order this as those set made us to feel satiety.

Ban Chang Kueh (Chinese Pancake) 曼煎糕

My roomate called and asked anyone of our roomates need Ban Chang Kueh as supper or not. I feel sleepy at that time when she called back and she asked me : Do you want ban chang kueh?

Me : Wat is Ban Chang Kueh?

Roomate : Er....Apom

Me: Ah Gong? dunwan la thanks. ( Sry I am really blur at tht time)

After my remaining roomates that stay in my room explained to me , I realise it is 'Jian Long Pau', that is what I call it usually. Haha... funny, now I know it is actually call ban chang kueh dy.

Ban Chang Kueh also sometimes refer as Apom Balik.

She bought peanuts and corns as filling to me, chicken floss as filling to other roomate.Chicken floss as filling. These ban chang kueh are more crispy in version. There is another thicker version but I prefer crispy one.

This is corns and peanuts as filling Ban Chang Kueh. According to my roomate, you can choose the filling u want, ham, corns, chicken floss etc.

As my roomate bought these near central square at sungai petani, when I eat it, it already became abit soggy, so cant really make an actual review on it. Anyways, thanks to my roomate as we as aimst students really desperate for outside food. LOL

Eternal Zone BBQ Steamboat buffet @ Sungai Petani

After our sport day, my classmates went to celebrate Melissa's birthday in Eternal Zone, Sungai Petani. It was a BBQ steamboat buffet, food are average, but I found happiness and warmness of my classmates after the sports. My batch lose almost every games, but we never lose the spirit! I am so proud to be a part of my class. Eternal Zone is a nice place to have party with friends. They also have a karaoke room there. RM18.90 for the BBQ and steamboat buffet, extra charge for the karaoke. ^-^

Wah~~ RM85++ Aussie BBQ Buffet...heart attack coz it's so expensive!!! When I heard of RM85++ I will expect something really nice...But, it disappointed me. Not much choice in the buffet, grilled food was burnt, I am not satisfied with it. Ai, really sad for that. When I saw Saisaki buffet is opposite to the hotel, I was thinking I rather choose saisaki! The only good thing is classy environment. A lot of foreigners there and I think they are their main target there.Let's come to food. BBQ food. lamb, sirloin steak, chicken wing, and sausages anyone? fish...salmon fish also available. I also saw lobster, prawn, squid etc there. Have to say that those seafood are fresh.Choose your seafood and they will BBQ it for you. But dun be surprise what you had choose is missing on your plate after they finished BBQ for you. =.=''See? Hungry? Sauces are available and I chose black pepper and mushroom for my steak. Next.... Dim Sum, Cha Siew Pau is good.

Teppanyaki, Oyster and deep fried food. I am not an oyster lover so I din try it.

Crepes, mushroom and herbal soup, ice-cream and ice-kacang also available but I dun think that I will return for this buffet.

鸡窝包

阿姨从吉隆坡带回了鸡窝包。第一次试到这种包，很特别。上面是糯米，盖着肉汁丰富的馅料，美味极了。弟弟还说他都吃过几次了，看来在家果然是幸福的。
真的很好吃哦，听说是RM4一个。

Tafulou said that he cannot understand chinese, so I do simple translation lar. Auntie bought "Ji Wo Pau" from KL. sorry la, that Ji Wo Pau I dunno what they call in English. This is my first time to try the pau, it is very special. The pau covered with glutinuos rice with juicy chicken filling, very delicious! My brother told me that he ate that for few times dy, It seems to be the best to stay at home because always can have nice food. I heard that the Pau cost RM4 each.

Western stall behind Big House Restaurant @ Bentong

I can tell you that Bentong is really a very very small town. No McD here, No Pizza Hut here, No Sushi King here...all we have here is natural, friendly people and simple life. You only need an hour to reach Bentong from KL, or maybe after Genting Highland trip you can turn right instead of left(KL) to reach Bentong.

Reviewed on the western food in Bentong and I think this is one of the best western food in Bentong. If you reach Bentong, you dunno how to go Big House restaurant, just ask anyone in town and they will tell you.

Oriental Chicken Chop. RM9.00. Eh the chicken is tender lea...the sauce on top is good with some small chilies, excite your taste bud!
Next is black pepper the sirloin steak RM18. Cheap?? definitely no for such a small town, not everybody in Bentong willing to spend for such an expensive meal.
It comes with onion rings, sausage and salad. I ordered medium rare and it is my first time to try it. I can accept that but not Tze Choong, hahaha..He wans fully cooked.
See? medium rare, juicy and the meat is juz nice, not too hard. run well with the black pepper. The portion looks like a bit small but it is just full when you finish all side dishes

Kow Poh Ice-cream restaurant @ Bentong

Many people will pass by Bentong and have a bowl of ABC or ice-cream in Kow Poh. Kow Poh is famous of their handmade ice-cream. It is smooth and they supply their ice-cream to many KL restaurants or shops. They even get A for their cleanliness, the same grade with KFC and some franchise restaurant. In front of Kow Poh there is a corner selling nasi lemak, the nasi lemak is not bad. Have a try and then eliminate those spicy taste with a bowl of ABC at the end will be a perfect day. slurp~~~ If you ask me Kow Poh really that special? I can tell u, Yes for last time. With the advancement of ice-cream, Kow Poh turns to become an ordinary ice-cream shop and maybe it is nothing special for you, but I still like it because of the smoothness. It is situated beside Hong Leong bank opposite the Bentong bus station.

Ice-cream. Different type of Ice-cream. You may have a chance to try their durians ice-cream if you are lucky as durians are not always available.

Kow Poh ABC. RM3.00 per bowl. A bit pricey is such a small town. But I can tell you it is always my favourite when I go there.

Please try out their ice-cream. Many people dropped by Bentong because of their ice-cream, heehee. Before I leave the shop, I ordered a scoop of ice-cream and took away. Vanilla+ peanut flavour. The combination prepared by the boss of the shop for me, heehee..

Teochew Chai Kueh/ Crystal Kueh @ Homemade

Gonna share the recipe of the Chai Kueh with all of you. Simple yet delicious. Mum cooked it and it was yummy delicious~ here some photos to share~~Sth wrong with my watermark, (T_T) I think there is virus spoil my programme. Recipe：

Ingredients: Skin

100g tangmin flour, 100g tapioca flour, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp oil

Filling:

1 pip garlic(minced), 40g dried shrimp(minced), 1 small yambean(shredded)

Seasoning:

2 tbsp osyter sauce, 2 tbsp soy sauce, A little pepper, 1 tbsp sugar

For Garnishing:

2 tbsp fried shallot crisps, 1 stalk spring onion( minced), 1 red chilli(minced)

Method: 1) Heat up 2 tbsp oil. Saute garlic and dried shrimps. Add in yambean. Fry till fragrant. Add in seasoning and mix well. Dish up. Set aside. 2) Mix well skin ingredients. Pour some boiling water from a height. Stir quickly with a pair of chopsticks into a dough. 3)Take a small portion of (2), flatten it. Wrap in a portion of (1). Steam over low heat for 10 mins. Remove and garnish.

水晶糕：

材料：皮

澄面粉100 克，薯粉100克，盐1茶匙，油2汤匙

馅料：

蒜头1粒（剁碎），虾米40克（剁碎），沙葛1小粒（切丝）

调味料：

蚝油2汤匙，生抽2汤匙，胡椒粉少许，糖1汤匙

装饰：

炸葱头2汤匙，青葱1棵（切粒），红辣椒1条（切粒）

做法：

1）热2汤匙油，爆香蒜头及虾米，加入沙葛炒香，再加入调味料拌匀，取出待用。

2）将皮材料混合均匀，以适量热滚水从高处冲下，快速以一双筷子拌匀成团。

3）将（2）分成小团压扁，包入（1），放入蒸笼以小火蒸10分钟。取出装饰即可。

Went to Dapur Kita, a mamak in Bentong. Variety of food there, so quite suitable for teenagers to gather with friends to chit-chat all night. Food including mee, fried rice, satay, roti canai, ikan bakar, kerang bakar, tauhu, western food, waffer, corns malay style kuey teow, Malay laksa, burger etc... A large screen there for u to watch football with friends~

I am quite full after dinner. So just ordered satay, tauhu. My companion ordered mee goreng and carrot milk in large size.

Fried Tauhu. RM2.50-RM3.00. The tauhu filled with vegetables and peanuts. a good snack.

Beef satay. nothing to shout about. The sauce is not think enough. RM0.50 each.

This is so so only...forgot the price for this.

Taadang~~everybody also knows what is Starbucks of course...selling branded and expensive coffee, variety of choices of drinks for u to relax ur busy life, with the companion of Jazz music, definitely a relaxing place~Cakes and breads anyone?

After I finished half of my drinks ,I only remember about taking photos of my Chocolate drink and also Greentea frappuccino. I remember my fren added cream in her greentea in Genting Starbucks last time so I ordered frappuccino with cream also but the worker in BTS Starbucks said cream only for chocolate? Is that real?

Crystal Court Restaurant @ Bentong

Went to Crystal Palace for dinner. Crystal Palace is considered to have the nicest ambience in Bentong Restaurant. Haha, dun forget Bentong is only a small town. Have a look?
Ambience consider not bad in a small town rite? Next, food~~
Firstly, the pork ribs cooked with taro. A good combination that the ribs cooked with taro, taste not bad, the only thing is taro not soft and ribs not tender enough. I like those taro because it took up the sauce of the dish.
A dish for vegetarians. The taste is okay for me.
Chicken cooked with special sauce (mak zap gai in cantonese). This is nice!! crispy and juicy.
Tilapia fish with garlic sauce. I like this very much~~run well with rice. Thumb up for this! slurps~

Vegetables. This dish a bit tasteless for me.

Lastly, fruits as dessert. Watermelon, mango and jelly.
The meal cost for RM142.50.The Crystal Palace restaurant is just beside the Crystal Hotel.

Rakuzen Japanese Restaurant @ Chulan Square

Went to Rakuzen Japanese restaurent in KL, few minutes walk from Pavillion to reach Chulan Square. The buffet only available on Sunday 12-3pm so remember to make reservation to avoid disappointment. Rm55+ per pax. Green tea. Cold or hot?The menu. Choose what you wan and order.Then the food will be served

Different type of Maki. Those big size Maki make you so full. Avoid that so that you will have the stomach space to fill other food.

Sushi~~ those sashimi sushi very fresh~~ I like the food quality of Rakuzen. Although the choices in Tao more than Rakuzen, but I think the taste here is better and more fresh.

Temaki. Soft-shell crab temaki, California temaki and salmon temaki. Soft-shell crab temaki definitely won my vote!!

Japanese Garlic Fried Rice...erm...nothing to shout about.

Kimchi soup. can choose whether chicken, beef or seafood. We ordered seafood but they served us chicken...=.='' we juz accept lor..we are kind people ma.

Grilled Unagi...dunno why I dun like to eat this...

Japanese steamed egg. so smooth~~

Cold Udon...QQ~~ But I like cold shoba..

Crabmeat salad...a good starter

I back from Kedah to KL yesterday, stay a nite in KL only heads back to my hometown. This morning, still in depress mood so I followed my aunt to watch gimnastic competition of my cousin, Thomas. He got 3rd prize and I am proud of him. His coach is a national and young player, took part in Commanwel game. Then I also went to SAB to watch the school sports day of another cousin, Francis. I feel relax abit with that.

Reached home juz now and think of blogging...going to post something that's suppose to post long time ago ---> Kindori Ice-cream

Buy 2 free 1 for. RM8.90 per serving. You can choose a type of fruit or combination of fruits you want to make your ice-cream. Flavour including coconut, mango, pineapple, red bean, black sesame etc. Mango flavour. My choice...full of real mango flavour, nice.
Raspberry + grapes. quite sour...I still prefer my mango.

My post today is not about any food. Life is so busy for me recently...Y ? Because test is coming. Every 9th week will be my continuous assessment (test). Today is the 1st day of 7th week..I have to study for it. I think I am lucky to be a dental student, because our mouth is related to FOOD. I am the one who will responsible for it for the rest of my life, lucky? unlucky? I also dunno. Just hope that I can pass all and become a dentist to make sure I am not wasting my dad's money. Going to share my life with all of you n after today post I will have my short break in blogging to prepare for my test.

My Uni...AIMST University. Many people may not know but it is the first private Uni in Malaysia that offering Dentistry course.

Anatomy Dissection Hall. This is the place where I learned all the anatomical part of human by using cadavers (corpse) in first year.

Dental Simulation Lab. Practice dental skills here...

My work station in Dental Technology lab where I learn how to make dentures here....

Big Apple Donuts & Coffee in Tesco Alor Star

Taa dang~~~ donuts from big apple..I heard that J.Co donuts are better but I never try before. I bought half dozen for RM11.50.
Here are them.Mango Tango...nice but I personally prefer those chocolates in flavour.

This one is mocha flavour I think...

Chocoholic...I like this... Chocolate cream oozing out once you bite.

After breakfast, we went to Alor Star..Joen's parents treated us a super nice lunch in cafe YY Hao (68洋洋好茶餐室) The restaurant was very crowded......

The cripsy fried salted radish on the fish make it so nice ...a good combination !!

Pork~~ It was smooth and soft...

Soup...chicken legs with peanut soup...good good~~Yum Yum...Let me think of mummy's soup

Pheonix Restaurant, Jitra, Kedah.

The last day in Jitra, we had our breakfast in Pheonix restaurant. Serene ordered ‘Loh Mai Kai’ which was not good at all. The rice is hard and tasteless.

Joen ordered curry mee. This is the mee that can be ordered when you come here. The curry mee here is average.

Our bread queen, Melissa ordered ‘Pau’ which is red bean in filling. Not nice also. She likes to eat bread or pau in the morning.

Wantan Mee and Hokkien Mee. I think you can judge the taste by looking at the photos.

Lastly, the must order when you come here is Bak Kut Teh. This is the best food here for me. They added meat ball which I seldom see in Bak Kut The. The soup is so nice with the herbal smell. But I think if you come later you can taste nicer soup because the soup absorbed everything from the herbal and meat. RM6-7 per head.

Ice-Kacang near Sekolah Rendah Chung Hua Jitra

After the lunch in Joen’s house, our next station is ice-kacang near Sekolah Rendah Chung Hua in Jitra. It was super delicious and super cheap. We went there around 4:30pm. It is s stall owned by Thailand people.

This is the super nice ice-kacang. Colourful? Usually the ice-kacang that we eat will be tasteless when we eat until the centre of the ice-kacang because favour is not added at the centre. But the difference in this stall is you still can feel the sweetness when you eat until the centre part. Very big portion and only cost for RM1.20.
We ordered char kuey teow and also som tam. Som Tam is a Thai dish.The main ingredient for it is unriped papaya, fried peanut, bean sprout and dried small shrimp.

Homemade dishes in Joen's house

We had lunch in Joen's house.The lunch was prepared by her servant and her mom. A memorable meal. Here are them.

Firstly, Vegetables...
Fish were fresh... we dipped it in special kind of Japanese sauce and eat together with rice. It tastes like eating japanese dish. Haha...a special combination.We are healthy...eat more vegetables.. LOLWah~~pork~~taste like Cha Siew... we dipped it in the japanese sauce too...I like this. slurps~Chinese Vege soup

Next, My favourite, sour vegetables with meats....
According to Joen's mom, this is cooked by her friend. Not sour enough, heehee...but still delicious.

Authentic Asian Tao Cuisine & Lounge, Autocity, Penang (buffet)

27 of feb, Serene, me, Melissa, Youming and Joen was going to have a surprise dinner for Pui Shie's birthday. She did not know that we are going to have a buffet in Authentic Asian Tao Cuisine & Lounge. We covered her eyes and she sat quietly in the car because we said we are going to bring her for a new hairstyle.

I booked that place few days before and we were giving 10% discount for being early birds. If you arrive before 6.30pm, you can get 10% discount. The buffet cost RM51.75 including tax for discounted price. It is divided into 2 sessions, 5.30pm-8pm and 8pm-10.30pm.
Ya, we arrived Tao and we were welcomed by the nice ambience.
A board writing the informations of the buffet~~ Do make booking on weekend to avoid disappointment.

Photo taken after the meal. Let's start the buffet. They are serving in All-You-Can-Eat style which means you order the food from the menu unlimitedly and they will serve dishes according to your order. This is the salad bar which is self serving.
Next, the sushi bar. People are grabbing for sushi~~
Wasabi Sari Abalone. Although it was not real abalone, but I still like it~This is the Wakatori Mayo. Chicken cooked with Mayo, I ordered this and I like it very much.
Tempura Mariowase. Fried vege and prawn. Ermm...we do not like the tempura serving here, tasteless...cant bring out the freshness of the prawn. Temaki. 2 California handrolls and Unagi handroll if I am not mistaken? forgot...We shoudnt order this because it makes you full very fast.
Sashimi mariowase. Wah~~I like it, fresh. Worth for the buffet right? As we know, the sashimi more than RM30 with this portion at Japanese restaurant.
Salmon Teriyaki. A must order. Try it, juicy.
Salmon Papaya. Yucks~~ Bad in taste, dunno whether only on that day or what, it was not fresh...my friends feel like vomiting while having that.
Motoyaki scallop. Thumb up for this~~~ spicy and cheesy~~
Miso Soup
Kushi Yaki. The seafood skewer. Not bad.
Jackpot which was ordered by the birthday girl, Puishie. She likes it so much. She do not like sashimi but she can accept this.
Grilled lamb shoulder. Try it if you come here. They grilled nicely and the meat were tender and juicy.
Sushi taken from sushi bar. I do not like they serve those sushi like this because the sushi that stay in sushi bar for long time tend to make the sushi rice hard.
Crabmeat with cheese. Yeah all of us like this because we are cheese lover. We ordered this for 2 times. Sinful cheese can be seen once you bite it.
Chawan Mushi. Steamed egg. Smooth~~ super small in portion and it is good because it will not make you full that fast. Agedashi Tofu. For me, the Tofu was not smooth enough. I tried a better one before.
Can you guess what is this? What is it looks like? It is 3 cup squid. A good appetizer.
Finally. the dessert, ice-cream~~~~Satisfied meal. So full~~we took photo before we leaved. Serene is the photographer, from the left, Joen, me, Youming, Pui Shie and Melissa.

Tai Hua Kedai Kopi Jitra, Kedah

The next morning, Saturday...Joen brought us to pasar at Jitra. After that, we had our breakfast in Tai Hua Kedai Kopi Jitra. See?? Loh Mee. Actually it was normal in taste but I felt nice since I long time din grab any Loh Mee like tis...YumYum...the funniest thing is we as middle part of Peninsular Malaysia people, argueing with the north people about the word' Loh Mee'. The Loh Mee in KL added vinegar into it...I chose Kuew Teow with fish ball.

There are also Hokkien Mee, and dried Mee serving in the shop. Next is Joen's bro ordered. The Mee looks so delicious huh??

Then Melissa ordered toast bread. It was delicious because the bread they use is not white plain bread. The Mochi that Serene bought from opposite market. average in taste.

BBQ and birthday celebration in Joen's house (Jitra)

Actually 28 of feb is Pui Shie's birthday. So, Serene, me, Joen, Puishie, Melissa and Youming went to Autocity for Tao buffet at 27 of feb and then head to Jitra, that's where Joen's house located. We had fun in Joen's house...heehee...
At night, we surprised Pui Shie with beatiful and nice cake which bought by Joen in Jitra nice purple cake right? We also had BBQ in her house....we bought those ingredients in the next morning in pasar such as chicken, sausages, fish, potatoes and some is sponsored by Joen's mummy. 2nd day night, BBQ started... Serene (red shirt) and I (pink) cant resist the temptation dy...BBQ~~BBQ~~

Iceicebaby is located between Tao Cuisine and also Starbucks in Autocity. I feel thirsty after having a walk and decided to go for dessert. So my friends and I chose Iceicebaby. But......my friends did not order anything because they are full. =.='' If I know they wont order anything I wont having the dessert myself and let them wait for me.. T_TThe ambience...
I ordered Lou Yeah from the menu. You can choose the combination you want from the menu. There are either Sea coconut, Mango and Peanut mix with a type of fruits for RM4.90. Each extra fruits added will be charged RM1.00. I chose the Sea coconut mixed with longan.
In fact, The sea coconut is in ice-cream formed. There are 'sagu' and longan served with it. It tasted sweet of course and I am a longan lover. However, I dont think my combination is that good. =.=''
Small in portion? ya...not enough lea...the red colour thingy in the middle is watermelon...

Lioz in Village Mall Sungai Petani (moved to Central Square)

I suppose to share with all of you in last year if last year I own a blog. I keep these photos for a year and yesterday I saw it so I decided to bring it up and share. Lioz in Village Mall offered set in chinese and western style daily. Their set is totally worth for the price and my friend and I try to go to Central Square to find this restaurant but we found that the menu and prices are totally changed and there is no more set in western style offering. That's why we saw no people in this restaurant in Central Square and customers prefer Master Choo.

My friend and I ordered the same set that cost RM19.90. The set including soup of the day, chicken chop with different sauces that can be chosen by you, a drink and dessert. For the drink, there will be 2 different type of drinks for you to choose everyday. The drinks are named by horoscope. So cute~~

The chicken chop chosen by me following my friend's chicken chop with different sause. Looks delicious right? Spagetthi and vege is serving with the chop too.

This is the dessert, ice-cream~~~ well decorated
My horoscope drink ...apple vinegar mixed with honey if I am not mistaken. A fresh and good combination.
The following drink belongs to my friend. It came with blue mixed with green colour when it was serving...However, I am not sure how it taste like... The next is the spagetthi ordered but another friend. Portion is small... taste was nothing to shout about.

G.Tiang Restaurant in Bedong (Sungai Petani) and pasar malam

Today just finished exams..so I asked Serene whether she wants to go out for food or not...then she agreed. She used her super red Kancil fetched me, Joen, PuiShie and Youming to G.Tiang in Bedong. The Ho Jiak recommended this restaurant before..so we decided to have a try lor~~ The ambience..The Indian lady has a small stall inside the restaurant selling Indian food too...There is the drinks corner....Then I walk around and to the food corner to order food with Serene and Joen.. see the photo above? sausages...fish for the grill and steam purposes..I also saw frogs~~wow...

These are stingray and other fishes..

This is the smoked stingray...RM 12.00. The taste? Not bad lar..but I had tried better version in other places...

This is the 'Duo Pan' recommended by Ho Jiak...The width of the mee is quite big in size...served with tomatoes, fish and egg...this is the first time I try it...Now I know what duo pan looks like...RM8.00 for medium size

This is the fried tauhu...cripsy and yummy with the sauce they provided.RM2.00 for this..so cheap

Fried rice. Serene said this is nice..but I think this is so so only lar...RM3.00

RM10.00 for the steamed stingray. The sauce very nice with it...a bit sour with the asam...I think this will run well with the rice

Zhong Wan Master Choo Kitchen Sungai Petani (central square)

Valentine day is coming...Su Hean, Joen, Melissa and me decided to go out to shop. We went to Central Square and had our lunch in Master Choo. A lot of dimsum serving there but we didnt order any dimsum.

Su Hean ordered francis fried rice. He said that the fried rice there is nice but he prefers Joen's order. RM5.30

This is the one ordered by Joen. Prawn fried rice with XO sauce. sweet and sour in taste and Joen asked for small chilies for few times to eat with the rice..Haha..so funny RM5.30

Melissa ordered tomyam vegetable tauhu mee for RM4.80. I asked her how it taste and she said not bad wor. She is a person that has less facial expression so I also dunno how good is the tomyam.

My order. Japanese Spicy Za Jiang Noodle for RM5.30. sweet and salty ...erm, not bad. The mee is very Q so I think they made the mee themselves.

For drinks, Melissa and me ordered cold Master Choo's "yin yong" for RM 2.80 each. Su Hean had cold Milo for RM2.80 also. I quite enjoy my yin yong. Hahaha...
Healthy drink for Joen. Longan Herbal Jelly.龙眼龟苓膏。The jelly is quite bitter but it is good for health ma, worth for the bitter taste lor. RM3.50

Big House Restaurant Bentong Morning Session

There are breakfast session in big house also. So my family just simply order something for breakfast because it was Sunday.Nasi Lemak for mum. She said it was delicious wor...very nice. RM3.50Chay Kuey Teow RM3.50. Average lor...sure cannot compare to Penang famous Chay Kuey Teow lor...Pan Mee. Usually the Pan Mee I see is the machine made. But this Pan Mee is handmade la...although the look is not that tempting, but the taste is not bad. RM 3.00
Loh Mee. My dad ordered this but he didnt give any comment. From the looking I dun think this is nice la. RM4.00/RM3.50 --> I am not sure about the price sry~~

Hakka Dish "suan pan zi" 算盘子

My mum made a dish call suan pan zi （算盘子）for our dinner . She is a Hakka. The name is suan pan zi because it looks like abacus...Haha...not everybody can accept it but I like it very much. The main ingredient is taro. Then it cooked with meat, mushroom, dried tauhu, sleeve fish slices etc.

Uncle Duck Restaurant Berjaya Times Square

found uncle duck in BTS. So decided have a try on it. Yesterday I went to BTS for 2 movies....red clift part 2 and also 家有喜事2009. The uncle duck restaurtant look like Shabu Shabu. Ohya, there are also Wendy restaurant, Subway, Secret Recipe, MCd ,KFC and also Papa Pizza in BTS.

We tried the Hong Kong Steamboat in Uncle Duck. You can choose different sets with the soup you like.

There is the hotplate.
Tomyam soup based.
Fish and Tomato soup.
Mixed set with soup that you choose RM19.90
This is the chicken set that I chose. I like the chicken. It runs good with the yellow colour sauce...cost for RM16.90 with the soup.

went to Nur tomyam last night. I never been there before but my sis told me that the roti canai there quite nice so we just go there for tea lor...papa n mummy, bro, steven n tze choong also went together. It is located near Yusoh Eye Surgeon Clinic and Bentong Point.I ordered burger chicken. But was a disappointment...so oily...RM2.50My sis ordered roti canai. If you say you want garing roti canai, the roti will serve with cripsy in version. RM0.80Next is tosai...mum said the sauce not that nice for that particular day larr..RM1.00 if not mistaken.Steven tried their tomyam...not that nice also..=.='' .He said dapur kita tomyam is better among Malays mamak stall.

We also ordered 10 chicken satays and 10 beef satays for RM10.00

Bentong Restaurant 2

The fifth day of CNY, uncle and aunty together with cousins came to Bentong to visit relatives. So my eldest uncle who is a Bentong kia treated them a meal in Bentong Restaurant. The dishes were great!!! Thumb up for those dishes~~~we drank the champagne 香槟...Strawberry in flavour. Also sponsored by my eldest uncle 捞生 (Lou Sang)

The two dishes together are called (Ng Fuk Lam Mun) 五福临门

This is the streamed fish cook with ginger sauce. 姜溶鱼
The chicken with ham. The chicken came with special sauce made by the chef. 白切鸡
Cheesy short ribs...nice. My uncle do not like to eat cheese, but he tried this and said that it is nice...the meat is juicy and tender. 芝士排骨
Vegetables cooked with fish meat. The fish meat was wrapping oyster. The dish also contains "Fatt Choy" ...so that after eat it everybody will be rich man and women..HOHOHO~~发菜蠔

The bamboo shoot cooked with Lam Cheong and Yun Cheong...腊肠润肠炒笋
Lastly is the fried rice that I had posted it before. My uncle ordered the same dish because he likes it so much...YUM YUM YUM~~~腊肠润肠炒饭

I heard that those dished cost RM360. I think it worth the price!

TGI Fridays The Curve

The 4th day of CNY, sis, Steven, Tze Choong and me decided to KL to visit grandma and then go for movie. For dinner we went to TGI Fridays. That was our first try. Ambience quite nice lar...the food okay okay. The portion is not as big as Chilis, this is my own opinion..

We ordered 2 sets of 3 course meals for RM39.90 each and add 2 more main courses. The 3 course meal come with appetizer, entree and also dessert. For Tze Choong, He ordered fried calamari for appetizer.It served with marinara sauce. We feel that it was not fresh enough. Texture is not that Q. For entree he ordered sizzling chicken and cheese. This is not bad...very nice...and dessert he chose chocolate malt cake...it was nothing special for the cake...=.=''

For my sis Clara, she ordered Fried Mac and Cheese for appetizer, Roma Chicken Cutlet for entree and also Cookies'N'Cream for dessert. Fried Mac and Cheese was okay and my sis likes it so much. The Roma Chicken was a wrong choice. not good...it looks like forest chicken chop...and pls do not eat those forest...it gets bitter n bitter as you bite more n more. However, this is our own opinion, different people has different taste bud isnt it? Cookie'N' Cream was nothing special but better than the chocolate malf cake if you want me to make a comparison.

For Steven, He ordered Jack Daniel's Chicken and Shrimp for RM36.90. It was nice..I tried it and I like the sauce so much...but the portion is very small, Steven still feels hungry after his main course. I feel that the Chilis smashed potato is better than TGI Fridays.

Once again, we do not appreciate those Vege...

For me, I ordered Garlic Chicken Primavara for RM22.90. I like the garlic chicken. The pasta was okay okay nothing special.
We Shared drinks...we ordered free refill drinks that was 7-up and Ice Lemon Juice. It was a nice day ^_^ .Enjoy the day so much...and Thanks Steven for his fetching to KL. :P

Pizza Hut Maluri Branch

The second day of chinese ox year, My parents brought us to grandma's house. We meet a lot of relatives there and have fun...and sure for the ==> ANG PAU!!! Hahaha~~~We have out lunch at grandma's house...I am sorry I did not take the photos because too many people there. At night, my family with uncle's and aunty's family went to Pizza Hut for dinner. Maluri is the first branch of Pizza Hut in Malaysia, so their taste is always standard compare to other branches. We saw their promoting pizza in menu... We ordered few pizzas...salad and spaghetti...The following photos are process of taking salad...haha...there are some skills so that you can take full bowl of the salad... :p

Golden Fortune Cheesy Crown...Very yummy delicious...It contains prawns, fish, crabsticks, pineapples and golden ring of cheesy crown. The prawns is quite big...HOHOHO...Thumb up for this!!

Next are the Hawaiian Supreme, Veggie Lover and Hawaiian Chicken following the sequence....They taste normal to me, maybe I get bored of it.

The food was okay but there was hot because their air-conditioner is not functioning on that day...What an unlucky day for us because we are sweating while having those pizzas....=.='' Hopefully Pizza Hut in Maluri branch will set this problem as soon as possible :p :P

Homemade Sushi

My mum suggested we make sushi...we bought the rice from Jaya Jusco...we made the california roll and temaki...haha...we added cucumber, egg, mayonise, crab stick and then wrapped it together...our first try...taste not bad although the look not like the sushi in restaurant...but I like the taste so much...Yum YUm....~~

CNY 2009 Biscuits

Every year my house sure has a lot of biscuits, cakes and carbonated drinks~~ tht's why I get fat after CNY !! T_T . These are bottles that will fill with those biscuits.

The following picture is the 炸芽菇. Yummy yummy....cripsy...once you eat you cant stop it!Haha...fried by my mum.

Fried Bee Hives...we name it bee hives because it really looks like bee hives...but this is salty and not sweet. I prefer the salty if compare to the sweet in taste fried bee hives...

Ichiban Boshi Pavillion

Haha...Pavillion again. I like to go there because a lot of nice food there. It is located at the ground floor near food republic. That is the only restaurant that i saw lot of people queuing up to wait for the seats. So cousins and I decided to give it a try.I ordered the teriyaki chicken set for RM26 ++. It came with teriyaki chicken, fried soft shell crabs, miso soup, rice, steamed egg and also 2 pieces of orange. I really full after having this and I cant try on their sushi after this. I regret to order a set as the portion is too large for me...hahaha...however, for those who are big eater can try on it because the chicken is juicy and there were some cheese go with the chicken. I cant finish the set and I gave my steamed egg to my cousin. =.=''
This is the my sister ordered. RM24++. I dunno what is the exact name of this set. The set came with rice, salmon sashimi, steamed egg, tempura , lotus root, miso soup, oranges. As usual, my sister cant finish it as well. I tried on her sashimi and it was so FRESH~~I must try their sushi and sashimi for the next visit.

The Loaf Uhu! Hu! cheesecake

Hey...Do all of you know that The Loaf is owned by our ex- prime minister Dr Mahathir?? So sure I have to try on their uhuhu cheesecake. I went to Pavillion with my cousins and sister and we had Ichiban Boshi and The Loaf. The cheesecake was so yummy and they are mini in size. They are not cheap. It melts in your mouth soon after you eat. Yummy yummy delicious ~

Here are them. I bought 1 dozen and chose for different favors. I personally like those with chocolate because I am a chocolate fan...haha~~~~ 1 dozen cost RM29, half dozen cost RM 15. If you buy a dozen, you can get a beautiful pink colour box with cute picture on it. Sorry i forgot to take the photo of the box.

Reunion Dinner 2009 at Bentong restaurant

Yoyoyo~~~ Happy Chinese New Year everyone...yeah I back to my hometown lovely Bentong. My lecturer told me Bentong is the richest town in Malaysia..Hohooo....proud of it. I had the reunion dinner with my family at Bentong Restaurant because we still prefer this restaurant compare to others.The first dish is the " Pearl Abalone Lou Sang" "珍珠鲍捞生". The dish is nothing special. Actually I am not a big fan of it but every year this dish had to be ordered to get good luck for the coming days.

This runs good with rice. This is one of my favourite. The sauce is delicious and there are shrimp, pearl abalone, sotong, ham, mushroom etc.

We also had "fried bird". I am not sure what kind of bird is that but dad told me that is definitely not chicken. It is cripsy and nice.

Hahaha...here come my favourite. Cheese butter prawns. We bring our own prawns there because the restaurant sure charge us higher price during CNY for that. The prawns were fried and then go along with the cheesebutter sauce...it was so nice until my uncle gave a thumb up for that.

This is nothing special . The fresh vegetables.

I did not try the steam fish but my dad said it was not bad.

This is the fried sticky rice with sausages that were Lap Cheong and Yun Cheong. We finished our dinner with happiness and joy and we hope the good is coming and the bad are gone for the coming days~~ The whole meal cost for RM285

Grill Chili's & Bar in Gurney

went to penang by ferry with my friends ..that was my 1st time after i entered aimst university to do my dentistry course in sungai petani. My friend suggested Chilis for our lunch in Gurney. I fell in love with it after my first try. The food are nice...

This is the Triple Play that cost RM21.95. This is the started in the menu. I recommend this to be shared by few people otherwise your stomach will not have the space to fill your main course.

The next dish is the Classic Nachos. I am sorry I cant remember the price of this portion. I just remember that my friend cant finish the dish alone.

Youming who is a spaghetti lover ordered this. RM 21.95. I just know that she was enjoying this very much.

My main is Monterey Chicken and I strongly recommend this. The chicken chop is really nice...it is so juicy and the smash potatoes won my vote. It is so delicious~~RM24.95 for this totally worth it!! After the lunch we went to Gurney for our movie...I will definitely return to Chilis for other dishes.
